Keane & Beane, P.C. is seeking highly motivated, dynamic associate attorneys for our White Plains (Westchester) and Melville (Long Island), New York offices. We seek candidates with four or more years’ experience practicing law for positions with a focus on general litigation (White Plains office), labor/employment law (White Plains and Melville offices), municipal law (White Plains Office), school law (White Plains and Melville offices), and trusts and estates (White Plains office).
Ideal candidates will possess strong writing, advocacy, research and analytical skills; the ability to manage time efficiently while being detail-oriented and organized; the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a law firm setting; as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to regularly engage with clients, colleagues, court personnel and opposing counsel. Candidates must be admitted to the New York bar at the time of hire.
- General Litigation Associate responsibilities include all aspects of litigation from discovery through appeals.
- Labor & Employment Law Associate responsibilities include working on arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations, advising on labor and employment-related statutes and related federal and State court litigation.
- School Law Associate responsibilities include representing school districts and other educational entities in daily advice, student discipline and special education matters, contracts, bidding; etc.
- Municipal Law Associate responsibilities include day-to-day municipal representation, municipal governance and administration, drafting local laws and resolutions, representation of land use boards during evening hours (Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals), defending Article 78 proceedings, and advising clients on SEQRA compliance.
- Trusts and Estates Associate responsibilities include drafting estate planning documents and administering trusts and estates.

The salary range for these positions is between $125,000 - $190,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
